April, 2025 Newsletter
Dear Mitigate ESG Platform users,
We are excited to share with you the latest updates on the Mitigate ESG platform!
Please take a look at the news below, categorized into three sections:
- New features
- Other improvements
- 🚀 Coming soon!
New features
VSME standard implementation
We have introduced the Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (VSME).
If a company wishes to report according to the VSME, it is necessary to go to the Company Settings and enable the VSME option:

Once this is done, the VSME report will appear in the left-hand menu under the ESRS report.
The company can choose whether to complete the VSME Basic or the VSME Basic + Comprehensive version:

GHG Module Adjustments
We have developed new functionality in the GHG emissions module.
Now, when managing a company’s emissions, users can choose the calculation method — automatic or manual.
Automatic mode: The platform operates as before — users enter the required information, and emissions are calculated using either the platform’s built-in emission factors or those entered by the company.
Manual mode: The platform does not use emission factors, and the value in the “tCO2eq” field must be entered manually by the user (while the kgCO2e/unit value is calculated automatically).

DP Progress – Option to Include Previous Year’s Values
Users now have the ability to add an option to numerical data points that allows displaying not only the current value but also the previous year’s value.
This configuration is available individually for each data point:

The report will reflect as follows:

Company-Specific Pillar
We have introduced the company-specific pillar in both the DMA module and in the ESRS and VSME reports. This functionality provides users with the ability to:
- Create customized themes and sub-themes under the new Company-Specific Pillar:

- Create customized disclosure requirements and customized pages under the new Company-Specific Pillar in the ESRS and VSME reports:

Other improvements
- The default report attachment “Used Emission Factors” will now be automatically removed if the GHG module of the Mitigate ESG platform is not in use.
- The value chain and company/partner selection interface in the IRO window has been redesigned for a better user experience.
- Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions calculations have been separated into market-based and location-based methods for clearer reporting.
🚀 Coming soon!
Gap Analysis Section
The Double Materiality Assessment section will be supplemented with a Gap Analysis functionality, which will help to more easily identify disclosure requirements that are missing or lack complete information.
