February, 2025 Newsletter

Dear Mitigate ESG Platform Community,

We are excited to share with you the latest updates on the Mitigate ESG platform!

Please take a look at the news below, categorized into three sections:

  • 🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏼‍♂️ Call to action
  • New features
  • Other improvements

🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏼‍♂️ Call to action

We have implemented Company Families. Please check the My Companies section to ensure that all your companies are correctly listed under the main company and that the main company is specified correctly:

If the data is entered incorrectly, the platform user with the Admin role should go to the respective company and select the main company under Settings → Company (the user must have the Admin role in both companies that they want to link):

From now on, when creating a new related company, it is mandatory to enter the main company (If you create it from the main company’s account, the main company will be filled in automatically).

New features

1. Configurable DMA Scoring Scale

We have developed a feature to configure the scoring scale – companies can define their own assessment factors and calculation formulas, providing full flexibility in materiality assessment. Companies can tailor materiality levels and thresholds to meet their specific needs, ensuring that the evaluation is accurate and relevant.

For more information, please refer to the DMA methodology, subsection The Scoring System.

If you have any questions, please contact us at esg@mitigate.dev!

  1. Customized Metrics

You now have the ability to create a custom metric and assign it to the relevant target. Go to Data Hub → Metrics and create your custom metric.

The allowed metric units are: numeric, %, text, Yes/No, EUR.

  1. Data Cloning Functionality

A new functionality has been introduced that allows users with an administrator role to clone data from the previous year for various modules: DMA and Data Hub, ESG reports, and GHG accounting.

‼️ Mitigate ESG Platform administrators must use this function with extreme caution, as all data entered for the current year will be irreversibly replaced with the previous year’s data!

  1. Data Point deprecation

Since data points are sometimes replaced with others, deleted, or have their format changed, we have introduced a new functionality – data point deprecation. This means that an indication will appear next to deprecated data points, showing that they are no longer active. By default, these data points are marked with “Do not show in the report”, but this setting can be freely adjusted.

Users also have the option to manually delete deprecated data points. If a deprecated data point is replaced with a new one, the new data point will be displayed as the latest entry in the relevant disclosure requirement.

🔹 Reminder: The order of data points within disclosure requirements and ESG reports can be modified. More details on how to do this can be found here.

Platform Improvements

  • Sorting of Impacts, Risks, and Opportunities (hereinafter referred to as IRO) according to the sub-topic sequence.
  • It is allowed to select multiple periods simultaneously for IRO.
  • IRO Excel Template Update: A separate column has been added for each period in the template.
  • ESG Report Customization: Additional page layouts have been added.
  • The Target section has been redesigned, and the option to specify ‘Information Source’ for each target has been added.
  • The Policies section has been redesigned, and the option to specify ‘Information Source’ for each policy has been added.
  • The ability to edit the platform username has been enabled.
  • A large set of data points has been improved – names, formats, etc. (these improvements will continue continuously – we will implement EFRAG changes in data point specifications).
